A portrait of myself

Welcome to my personal website! I am Jiaqi Zhao (aka Jake; he/him), currently a PhD candidate in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Alberta, working with Professor Craig Heinke. I was born and raised in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, China.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in 2018 from Southwest University in Chongqing, China. After taking a gap year, I began my Master’s program at the University of Alberta, where I continued my research under Professor Heinke. I completed my Master of Science degree in 2021 and have since been pursuing my doctoral degree.

My research focuses on X-ray observations and analysis of neutron stars, pulsars, in particular millisecond pulsars in globular clusters, etc. Feel free to explore my research interests, publications, and more.
